End of a stressful day

It was the end of a stressful day. I took a shower, put on my pj's and poured a hot cup of coffee. My husband makes the best. I took two sugars and some cream. I took a soothing sip of the lovely dark colored stress reliever.

Out to the side deck I took my leave. I sat in my usual chair and put my feet up on the adjacent deck chair. I took my small box, and a hold of the celiphane tab - I pulled. It opened, grabbing the foil - I ripped it - crumbling it, I placed it on the table next to me.

I pulled one of them out. I took a long whiff off the object before placing it between my lips. I pulled in a mouthful of air and exhaled. Placing my lighter in my right hand, I flipped my fingers igniting the small purple colored plastic. While the lighter was lit, I pulled in air through the filter, as I caught my cigarette on fire.

Placing the lighter in my pocket of my pj's, I leaned back comfortably - settling in for a relaxing moment. I smoked my cigarette like it was the last one I would ever have in my life. In between taking my sweet drags, I took a lovingly sip of my coffee emerging myself in my own realm. A place where no one exsists by myself and my thoughts.

Taking these selfish moments at the end of the day almost resets my whole being. I realized as I took these sips of coffee and inhaled my cigarette. What a moment, a moment of pure relaxation to realize that a person has to recharge themselves in order to move on in life. These are essential to your well-being.

 I recommend everyone to take time to recharge and reset their being. You do not have to smoke a cigarette or drink coffee, you just need to find something or some place that gives you that total relaxation you need. Take it, when ever you can because life is to short.
